Sessional/ Part Time

Sessional services provide childcare to pre-school children for no more than 3.5 hours per session.

Part Time services provide childcare to pre-school children for a total of more than 3.5 hours and less than 5 hours per day. Part Time services may include a sessional service for pre-school children not attending the part time day care service.

These services should provide a well planned programme of activities / curriculum for the children attending as well as ensuring a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

Sessional and part time services tend to operate during the school term; however some sessional services will provide childcare outside of term times.
