More than half of the world’s population speaks more than one language and Ireland like many other countries is bilingual. It is our Irish language that forms the basis of our unique culture and it is one of the oldest languages in Europe.
Educationalists believe that a bilingual education can give children many positive advantages. It helps to develop mental agility, enthusiasm and alertness. It provides the child with two windows through which they can look at the world.
Naíonraí are playgroups for Pre-School children conducted through the medium of the Irish language. In a Naíonra the child will learn Irish naturally and easily. It is enjoyable for a young child to learn new words in an environment of play, songs and stories.
