Please note:  The information below may be added to or amended slightly as the year progresses and events arise.

 February:  As the deadline (29th January, 2010) for children entering the January term has passed,  the following procedure should be followed for new children entering your service, children increasing number of days attended, (e.g. a child increasing attendance from 3 days to 5 days) or transferring to / from your service.

In such cases please ask that a Parent Declaration form and / or the Transfer form are completed and returned to Childcare Directorate by the 15th March, 2010 for the April term in the following cases:

 (a)       New children entering the ECCE scheme for next term

            [Parental Declaration Form, Birth Cert & Proof of PPS Number]

(b)       Children transferring from one provider to another

           [Parental Declaration Form, Transfer Form, Birth Cert & Proof of PPS Number]

(c)        Children increasing number of days attended

March:  By the end of March, the OMCYA will issue Information Packs to all notified pre-school services inviting them to apply for the ECCE scheme in September 2010.  Services in the Community Childcare Subvention Scheme (CCSS) will also be invited to apply for the CCS/ECCE schemes as part of this process.  

Services who are already in the ECCE scheme will be required to confirm the following:

R That the qualifications of relevant staff are unchanged.  Where this is not confirmed, they must provide copies of the new staff qualifications held.   

R Confirm that their bank details are unchanged or provide details of the changes 

R A current tax clearance certificate must be provided

New ECCE applicants must provide

R     Evidence of staff qualifications

R     Bank details

R Current tax clearance certificate

April:  The closing date for services to return ECCE/Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) applications to North Tipperary County Childcare Committee will be 30th April, 2010.

May:  The OMCYA will issue contracts to services for signature and return.  Please note, all copies of contract must be signed and returned.  The contracts will apply for 1 year with a roll-over clause for a 2nd year.  

June:  An Information Leaflet for parents of children qualifying in September 2010 will be issued by the OMCYA.  

Services take enrolments for the 2010-2011 preschool year

July:  Information Packs re September 2010 ECCE/CCS electronic returns will be issued by OMCYA to all participating services.

September:  Services will send out and ask parents to complete and return parent declaration forms during the expected reference week  6th – 10th September, 2010.

October:  Services should advise parents who wish to enrol their children for the scheme in January 2011 to complete a parent declaration form for return to OMCYA, no later than 12th November 2010.
