North Tipperary County Childcare Committee celebrates the success of its Parents Seminar - 'Toxic Childhood'
North Tipperary County Childcare Committee was thrilled with the huge response and attendance at our recent Parents Seminar. The seminar was held on Saturday 13th November 2010, in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh and was attended by approximately 120 people.
The speaker for the seminar was Sue Palmer - author of 'Toxic Childhood' and covered topics such as: the emotional and social needs of children, the importance of Play, the effects of over commercialisation of young children, the “schoolification” of early childhood and the importance of developing good listening and language skills.
