thought it would be a good idea to remind everyone about the
Lámh-a-Song nursery rhyme DVD. Lámh-a-Song features popular
children's songs with Lámh signs.

Lámh
is the manual sign system used by children and adults with
intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland.
Lámh joined
with Down Syndrome Ireland in producing this nursery rhyme DVD,
which has been very popular since its launch. The Lámh-a-Song DVD
gives young users the chance to see Lámh signs on the TV screen for
the first time, with each of the 15 popular songs on the DVD
presented through vivid animation and a rich soundtrack that
appeals to younger viewers.
Lámh has a
vocabulary of 500 signs, based on Irish Sign Language and natural
gesture. Speech is always used with the signs and only key
words in a sentence are signed.
